Six Local Terms & Conditions

The contract between Six Local and the Client will be taken on under
the conditions stated in the body of this document and excludes all
other terms and conditions. Any amendments to these terms shall have no effect
unless confirmed in writing.

All work shall be carried out as determined in the Six Local confirmation order email.

Email will be the agreed method of contact in respect of all communication. Six Local
can be contacted by telephone, but confirmation of orders will only take place by email,
to ensure a clear understanding of commitments has been outlined. It is the Client’s
responsibility to confirm any change to their contact email address so contact details are
kept up to date. Six Local can not be liable for communication issues when no knowledge of
current email was given. All emails will be replied to within 2 days of receipt.

Six Local will only start work on a Project after the Client has made a non refundable
50% deposit of the quoted Project fee. A 25% payment is required on approval of the home
page design. A final 25% payment to settle the balance is made once the Project has
been completed to the client’s satisfaction. Live Date will be implemented once
the final balance is paid in full.

Six Local offers a series of price plans which enable the provision of affordable web design.
These price plans are built around the delivery of websites of a specified range of page numbers.
The client may increase the number of pages provided they fall within the price plan range.
Such page increase may result in a move to the next price plan up and they will be charged for this new price plan.
Page increases above the 15 pages of the 8-15page price plan will be charged at £50+vat per page.

The deposit is non refundable.

If agreed the cient will receive the equivalent of 3 hours of Flash development time which
will be sufficent for most client requirements. Where this is not sufficient it will be
agreed upon in the order email.

The client shall be expected to determine that the website complies with all the laws of
the country in which it operates and shall not be in any way illegal.

Images purchased on behalf of the client from image repositories are to be used strictly
for the client’s website alone.

Six Local will agree to host the client website if the Client wishes this. Hosting
requires payment of a fee, unless it is offered free. Six Local will provide a professional
service with a reliable hosting environment but do not personally guarantee that Hosting
will be available at all times, in the event of mechanical, technical failures beyond our
control or other acts of nature.

A service offered by Six Local cannot lead to Six Local being made responsible for
any aspect of a clients business.

When Search Engine Optimisation is offered a guarantee of a specific rating
in the ranks of a search engine page is not guaranteed.

Six Local can give an expected completion time for the Project, which is the time
at which it will be made live on the internet if such a request is made. Six Local will
endeavour to meet such a deadline, but cannot guarantee to have the website live by this date.
We endeavour to give the best possible time estimations but cannot guarantee such estimations.

Domains are registered on behalf if the clients once the full website payment has been made
and the completed creative brief has been received.

Six Local will own all parts of the website including design and code until settlement of the final
payment is received in full. Once this has been received, ownership will pass to the Client.

A client may have up to 5 images purchased by Six Local to be used on the client website only.

Domain names are registered by Six Local and also registered to the Six Local current
address. Although Six Local is the registrant, the Client is the legal owner of the domain.
A transfer request for the domain can be made at any time for the domain to be transferred elsewhere.

Whilst it is the responsibility of the Client to ensure that their domain is renewed
their domain names when due. If a domain name expires, Six Local can not be held liable for
this. However, Six Local will make reasonable effort to contact the Client regarding domain renewal.

If after Live Date has been reached, an administrative charge of £50 will be charged,
if the client wishes to move Hosting away from Six Local. If a client wished to transfer a Domain
name away from Six Local, a £25 admin charge must be paid before the transfer takes place.

When a Client renews Hosting with Six Local, this also includes domain renewal if the renewal
is needed to keep the site functioning and was purchased as part of the Hosting package. If the
Client does not renew the Hosting, their domain name could be made available to the public for
purchase and Six Local can not be held liable for this.

Renewal of Hosting is due on a yearly basis. The date of renewal will be annually from the
date the website was ordered by the Client. The Hosting will not be renewed if Six Local
cannot contact the Client or the Client requests for Six Local to not host this site. This
will also affect the domain as per item 22.

The Hosting renewal charge must be received within 10 days of the Hosting expiry date.
Six Local reserve the right to deactivate any website where the Hosting has expired and the
Client has not paid the renewal charge. There will be an admin fee set by Six Local for reactivating
the website/Hosting.

If the Client does not use Six Local Hosting services, then Hosting of the Domain name
is also the responsibility of the Client.

Six Local provides a year’s free hosting for all clients site’s under
200MB and for sites greater than this where special arrangements have been made. This
hosting is available when the client pays their deposit payment within 48 hours. Upon non
receipt of a deposit payment then Six Local reserve the right to charge £100+VAT for 1
years hosting of clients website.

All websites designed by Six Local will include a hyperlink from the client website frontpage to
SixLocal.co.uk. Such a link is an essential part of the contract between Six Local and the Client but
may be removed for £100+vat.

Six Local offers hosting limited to 250mb of space unless otherwise agreed in the order.

Six Local has no control of, or responsibility for, the content of Clients’ websites.
In no way does any content neither written nor graphic on any of our Client’s web sites
constitute Six Local endorsement, neither do we approve of the website content or the material
contained within the website. Six Local does not verify any of the content generally, including
materials, images or information contained within a Client’s web sites and is not responsible
for the content or performance of these sites or for the Client’s transactions with them.

Six Local are not liable for loss, damage or corruption to files or information stored on
its servers or individual PCs relating to a Client’s website. The Client is solely
responsible for any information or files relating to its website.

If a Domain name is purchased by the Client through a company other than Six Local,
the Client has full responsibility in making sure that the domain name is renewed when due.
Six Local will not renew the Domain name when annual Hosting renewal is due if the Domain
name is purchased through a company other than Six Local.

Six Local will take a 2.5% service charge payment on any payments received using a
credit or debit card. If this is not acceptable to the client, we also accept BACS and
Cheque as an alternative payment method.
Definition of our terminology as used within this document:

A ‘Project’ is work that is undertaken by the contractor who is Six Local
for the Client when requested. The client will receive confirmation of agreed work terms via email.

A ‘Client’ is a person, business or organisation engaging the services that are provided by Six Local.

‘Live Date’ is the date at which the website is made available on the Client’s chosen domain.

‘Domain’ is the web address that is specified by the Client.
-
‘Open Source Software’ is software that has been made freely
available to all internet users under a General Public License.

‘Content’ is both text and images that is given by the client for
addition to their website. In some cases Six Local will be instructed to
create content for the client’s website.

‘Hosting’ is a cost paid annually which is paid in order to
keep a clients website activated online.
